The Beginning of Spring
Tuesday, March 28, 2017
Hello, loves. I've literally been trying to get back into the swing of things with this blog of mine, but I'm just not feeling motivated to do it. I've been exhausted from work and when I get home I don't wanna spend more time working. It's so much easier to post my #OOTDs on Instagram, but I have to remember why I started this blog. I started to stay connected to fashion, to pursue my dreams, to express my point of view. So here's to hoping I stick to it.
On a different note, Spring is finally here and the weather has been amazing. It's dress season and I plan to take full advantage of it, starting with this piece. I swear anytime I roll into Old Navy, I find some of the most awesome pieces on sale. This dress is an Autumn piece but, the blue and white screams Spring. Especially the floral pattern. Although florals aren't some amazing thing, they are a classic. We should always stick to the classics, because no matter how the trends change, many pieces you own should remain timeless. Thanks for stopping by!

Sometimes the best days are the days when there's nothing to do and and nothing to see, but to just float along. This day was one of those days. I typically shoot outfit photos on my days off and this day was no exception. It happened to be the Monday after the Festival de International. Unlike most Mondays, I didn't have any errands to run, no laundry to do, just to breath. After shooting, the BF and I went to a friend's house and we spent the evening talking politics, civil rights, and a few 1980s San Francisco club scene stories. It was so refreshing to be around people other than my co-workers and customers.
These photos were shot in downtown Lafayette, after working hours. The streets were calm and taking pictures was a dream. I get a little nervous when I see people staring. The picture that shows DISCO is actually the windows of the Lafayette Science Museum and they continue to spell out the word DISCOVERY. The cool thing about these windows are that the lights change colors so the windows reflect that color. Anyhow I hope you all enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Fri-Yay!!!! What better way to end this week's blog posts and welcome the weekend than with a great casual weekend look. I wore this outfit while running around last Sunday. Honestly, it was the most comfortable thing. And how cute are these pineapple earrings? They were only $1. Also, I didn't realize it until I was typing this post, that all the items I'm wearing are from Wal-Mart (with the exception of the jacket). Sometimes I find my self doing that without the intention of doing it. By no means is this a sponsored post. I just find a lot of stuff there. Anyways Happy Weekend loves!

As I type this post, I must admit that I am a bit livid. Normally, when I'm working on blog posts I'm all but willing to do it. This time was no different, except I was overly excited because, almost all of the items I'm wearing are brand new pieces. As I sat down to work on this, I thought "I'm going to cut out at least an hour to 1.5 hours of work!" How might I snip off this work time you ask. Well, most of the work I do on posts come from searching for similar items to the items I'm wearing. Since most of my wardrobe consists of older pieces (this girl is on a budget), it can be quite time consuming to find really similar items. Like, I said before, I expected this post to be a breeze, since the items were currently purchased in the last 2 weeks. WRONG!!!! Damn you internet gods! As I pulled out my product numbers to link this dress and these sandals, they were no where to be found on the Forever 21 website. Now, I know that the items are of course sold out online (now I see why lots of bloggers say that shopping at Nordstrom is easier. More quantities, less sold out stuff!), but I would have at least liked to link the actual items for you, so that you may use the product number to take to your local Forever21 store.
Since Forever21 decided to slack off in the website restock item dept, I'll just share the product numbers here. The number for the dress is 00167847042 and the sandals is 00152424040. i just visited my local forever yesterday and both items were still there. The dress was $17.90 and the sandals were $7. The dress also comes in black/white. Also I've linked a few cute ones below.
I hope you dolls didn't mind my mini rant. Hopefully you can find these items at your local Forever. Thanks for stopping by and talk to you later.
