Hello loves. Today I have a new post for you featuring some not so new threads. This blue dress is one of the few sporty pieces I own. Most pieces I own are a mix of feminine, bohemian, and classic with a few staple pieces. If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have caught a small glimpse of me cleaning out my closet this past week. I mean I did a deep cleaning. I pulled everything out, dusted, vacuumed, and even caught the baseboards. I was so amazed at how much dust had collected in the crevices between the carpet and wall. I swear I'm not a huge fan of wall to wall carpeting, but this is a rental.  Anyhow, after I was done, my closet sure looked better. I think I'll do a separate post on my closet clean-out and organization tips, that way I can go over my entire process.

So while, I was doing that I found this piece in there. I hadn't worn it in over a year, but I remember I loved it so much. The reason I hadn't worn it in a year was that I had gained some weight. Last summer I wanted to wear this dress, but I put it on and saw that it was very ill fitting. I wasn't ready to part with it so I stuck it back in my closet. I was at my highest weight then, which was 150 lbs. This coming form a girl who normally weighed 136. So I had gained 14 lbs from my normal. I'm currently down to 141, since last summer. So I thought "why not try it on see if you still love it." I tried it and of course I loved it. It's such an easy piece and super comfortable. I swear I can always count on Old Navy for pieces like this. The best part part about this piece is that it can also be dressed up. Anyways, since this dress is an older piece, I linked some similar pieces below, although it was really hard to find similar pieces in this particular color.  I hope you all have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by.

The Beginning of Spring

Dress: Old Navy // Jacket: old, similar // Shoes: Forever 21 (old, similar) // Earrings: Rite Aid, similar // Bracelet: old, similar // Bag: Forever 21 (sold out, similar

Hello, loves. I've literally been trying to get back into the swing of things with this blog of mine, but I'm just not feeling motivated to do it. I've been exhausted from work and when I get home I don't wanna spend more time working. It's so much easier to post my #OOTDs on Instagram, but I have to remember why I started this blog. I started to stay connected to fashion, to pursue my dreams, to express my point of view. So here's to hoping I stick to it.

On a different note, Spring is finally here and the weather has been amazing. It's dress season and I plan to take full advantage of it, starting with this piece. I swear anytime I roll into Old Navy, I find some of the most awesome pieces on sale. This dress is an Autumn piece but, the blue and white screams Spring. Especially the floral pattern. Although florals aren't some amazing thing, they are a classic. We should always stick to the classics, because no matter how the trends change, many pieces you own should remain timeless. Thanks for stopping by!

Valentine's Day Outfit Inspiration

The Most Coveted

Top: Wal-Mart (in store) // Jeans: Thrifted (similar) // Scarf: Target (similar) // Earrings: Charming Charlie (old, similar) // Bracelet: old, similar // Boots: Target (similar) // Purse: Forever 21 (similar) // Lips: MAC Fixed on Drama (n/a)

I will admit that I am a lover of all things cozy. From extra soft blankets to the fuzziest of socks, I'm all for it. This brings me to why I love the blanket scarf trend. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket that's appropriate for outside the house.

So, the blanket scarf trend has been around for the last two seasons, and it's not going anywhere. I DIYed one last year which you can see here. But this year, I wanted to get my hands on the coveted tan/plaid color that is so popular. I don't remember who I was watching, but I'm sure it was another blogger on Snapchat. She said that Target had $7 blanket scarves in the Dollar Spot section. Sure enough, I raced there to buy myself one. There were only a handful left when I spotted this one. This color was the last one, and I knew it was meant to be. Big shout out to Target for pricing these at $7. These scarves can be so expensive. I am a lover of scarves, during the fall/winter, but $40 or more for a piece of fabric I can DIY is ridiculous. I've linked similar ones below, that aren't too expensive. So if you haven't picked up one of these yet, don't hesitate. I've worn mine for the past 7 days and I've already gotten great cost per wear.
