Roses In Bloom

Something about fresh, blooming flowers just makes my soul happy. And Spring, my dear, you're starting to pull on my heartstrings... too bad southern Louisiana isn't feeling the same.

Knowledge Is Power: Cougar Shoes Review

Top: Target // Jeans: Old, similar // Shoes: c/o Cougar Shoes // Bag: Sears // Rings: old // Earrings: Old // Watch: Wal-Mart (similar) / Cuff: old, similar

So today is all about the review. The review of these adorable rain sneakers from Cougar Shoes. I was contacted by the company to see if I would be interested in trying out a pair of their rain shoes from their Spring 2017 collection. To be honest, I had never heard of this company and thought it might be spam. So I did a little research to see what this brand was all about. They are a Canadian company whose motto is simply "Get Into Outside." And in this crazy social media, over connected, always plugged in world, I agree we need to do this more.

So I checked out their collection and was pretty amazed. Can I just say that the idea of a waterproof sneaker was amazing to me. I mean, not only do I get to be comfy, my feet don't have to get wet either. I chose the Swoon Rain Sneakers in Taupe. When I first received the shoes, I thought the design was very nice and clean. The packaging was amazing also. It had been raining the past few days, so I thought what a perfect time to take these pups out for a spin. They look very stylish and can be styled with any look. The neutral color I chose, is perfect for my ever changing wardrobe. Some key features of these shoes are:

1. Guaranteed Waterproof
2. The cushion soles are removable. Which is awesome if you want to wash your insoles or you
stand or walk a lot for your job (me)  and would like to add different insoles.
3. The inside lining is jersey, which reduces sweaty feet.
4. The soles are anti-slip. Perfect for clumsy old me.

I totally plan on using these shoes daily trips to the dog park, since it can get really messy, and lots of rainy day errands. Also I received this pair just in time for Louisiana's upcoming hurricane season (i.e. tons of rain). The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was the color. I was expecting more of a nude taupe, but the true color was more of a brown taupe. Overall the shoes were amazing and I cannot wait to style them into my wardrobe more. So if you are looking for a functional, yet stylish pair of shoes to update your wardrobe, these shoes are for you. Also don't forget to check out all of the rain boots/shoes that Cougar has to offer.

P.S. . I get more compliments on this shirt than anything in my wardrobe recently. This was one of my fave programs growing up. I wholeheartedly believe knowledge is true power, be it in fashion, politics, or day to day life. Love you dolls!

Hey dears! I'll keep this post short. I always love wearing dresses, no matter what season it is. Even if it's a summer dress, I'll totally throw some tights on and make it perfect for winter. Also, tights is a good way to wear your new spring dresses, before it's warm. So dresses during all seasons are a win win for me. I hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

The Most Coveted

I will admit that I am a lover of all things cozy. From extra soft blankets to the fuzziest of socks, I'm all for it. This brings me to why I love the blanket scarf trend. It's like wrapping yourself in a blanket that's appropriate for outside the house.

So, the blanket scarf trend has been around for the last two seasons, and it's not going anywhere. I DIYed one last year which you can see here. But this year, I wanted to get my hands on the coveted tan/plaid color that is so popular. I don't remember who I was watching, but I'm sure it was another blogger on Snapchat. She said that Target had $7 blanket scarves in the Dollar Spot section. Sure enough, I raced there to buy myself one. There were only a handful left when I spotted this one. This color was the last one, and I knew it was meant to be. Big shout out to Target for pricing these at $7. These scarves can be so expensive. I am a lover of scarves, during the fall/winter, but $40 or more for a piece of fabric I can DIY is ridiculous. I've linked similar ones below, that aren't too expensive. So if you haven't picked up one of these yet, don't hesitate. I've worn mine for the past 7 days and I've already gotten great cost per wear.

What Wiccan Ways

Happy Wednesday loves. So here's a new post for a new week. I can't believe that the items I'm wearing in this post have already sold out. I literally got these boots in a week and a half ago and the black ones are already gone. Good news is that Charlotte Russe does restock often, so it's possible they will get these babies back in. I've linked some really similar ones below. Also this dress I happened to pick up on clearance last week is also sold out on the website. I originally saw this dress in white and thought I had to have it. Instead of getting it that day, I went home and thought about it. So, I went back about two days later and I couldn't find the white one in my size. I was so bummed. Then I walked around some more and discovered the black hanging in with the newer items. I absolutely fell in love. I thought it was a sign that this little number was meant for me. I got so many compliments the day I wore it. I also linked several similar dresses below. Two are almost exact replicas. Anyways I hope you dolls are having a great week so far! Thanks for stopping by!
